Essays on John McGahern: Assessing a Literary Legacy, eds Derek Hand and Eamon Maher will be published by Cork University Press. It will include ‘John McGahern and ‘Irish Writing’:  from The Dark to Amongst Women.’

Three new essay have been taped for Sunday Miscellany, RTE, and will be broadcast later in 2017.

An essay, ‘Georges Seurat in Port-en-Bessin’ will be published in Queen’s Quarterly (Canada) in March 2017.

The Found Voice was chosen as one of the best books of 2016 by Ian McGillis in The Gazette (Montreal).

The Found Voice was given a full page review, with editorial comment, in the Times Literary Supplement of 17/26 August.  A short review appeared earlier in the Irish Times, and other reviews are in the works.
